On World Hepatitis Day, the POWER Foundation successfully hosted a comprehensive outreach event at Sancta Maria Hospital, dedicated to raising awareness and fostering unity against hepatitis. This initiative targeted fifty individuals of all ages within our community, aiming to educate, empower, and inspire proactive health measures.
Event Highlights
The event featured a diverse range of activities designed to inform and engage participants. Health education sessions provided attendees with crucial information about the global impact of hepatitis, emphasizing the importance of testing and vaccination. Interactive forums encouraged open community discussions, allowing participants to share experiences and ask questions in a supportive environment.
A key objective of the initiative was to highlight the importance of hepatitis testing and vaccination. By providing these essential resources, we aimed to increase knowledge, engage the community, monitor health, and encourage proactive health measures. The program also included free medical checkups, with participants benefiting from hepatitis screenings and receiving valuable information on preventive measures and treatment options.
Empowering the Community
The outreach event created a supportive environment where individuals could learn, discuss, and take proactive steps toward better health. Participants left the event not only with a better understanding of hepatitis but also with the tools and resources to protect themselves and their loved ones.
