The International Day of Charity and World Literacy Day were jointly celebrated on September 5th at Unity Primary School, organized by POWER Foundation in collaboration with SLNI and facilitated by Mr. Adewola Alebiosu. The event brought together 50 beneficiaries (25 males and 25 females) with the aim of raising awareness about literacy and encouraging charitable values.
The program emphasized the importance of literacy and charity in personal and community development. Participants engaged actively, asking questions and sharing personal experiences, which contributed to a vibrant and insightful atmosphere. Feedback collected showed strong appreciation for the foundation’s efforts, with many beneficiaries expressing emotional and intellectual growth.

To support continued learning, each attendee received educational materials, including a mathematical set, an exercise book, and a pen. Refreshments were also provided. The event was well-prepared, with effective community mobilization and a clean, organized venue.
With full attendance, high engagement, and positive feedback, the event was considered a resounding success. It concluded after 3 hours and 20 minutes, leaving participants motivated and thankful. Recommendations were made to expand outreach using social media, local leaders, and community-based advertising to reach more people in future events.
