Despite the commitments made under the 1995 Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, gender inequality persists, with young people often excluded from key decision-making spaces. In today’s world, where climate change, economic instability, and technological advancements shape global realities, it is imperative to actively engage the next generation in driving sustainable solutions.
In response to these challenges, POWER Foundation, in partnership with Silver Lining for the Needy Initiative (SLNI), is hosting a virtual panel discussion focused on advancing youth participation in gender equality efforts. This event will examine progress made, ongoing barriers, and the role of young changemakers in tackling emerging issues.
Bringing together policymakers, advocates, and development partners, this discussion will explore strategies to bridge gaps and accelerate action. Through collective engagement, we can redefine leadership, strengthen advocacy, and drive transformative change toward a more just and equitable society.
